Kyla Thompson has been a consultant in Public Relations, Marketing, Media Crisis, Media Relations and Public Affairs for more than 35 years. She owned her own company in Denver, CO for 25 years, Kyla Thompson & Associates, and is now an independent consultant in New Mexico. She has worked for more than 300 clients locally, regionally and nationally.

In addition to her own eponymous firm, Thompson was CEO of Marketing and Public Relations at Barnhart/CMI in Denver CO, and CEO of The Jefferson Group West, a Denver- based public affairs firm with headquarters in Washington, D.C. She was also the first Director of Public Relations & Advertising at The Children's Hospital in Denver, CO. As a media crisis expert, she was hired in 1999 by the families of the murdered and injured victims of Columbine High School, Denver, CO.

Kyla Thompson creates and implements public relations programs which enable clients to tell their story. As a veteran of many public relations circumstances, her depth of knowledge, common sense, experience and success is sought at times when someone else's learning curve could be at the client's expense.
